-Nepali Poem by Laxmi Prasad Devkota

  • Paulo Coelho – The Alchemy of Dreams

The universe is a mirror, reflecting back the essence of our souls. When we chase our dreams with courage, the universe conspires to help us achieve them. But to dream is to risk – to risk failure, to risk heartbreak. Yet, without risks, there is no discovery, no growth.

I met a shepherd once, his eyes filled with a light that no riches could dim. “I search for my treasure,” he said, pointing to the horizon. I asked if he was afraid of losing his way. He smiled. “The journey is the treasure,” he replied.

Life often tempts us to settle for comfort, to bury our dreams beneath the weight of fear. But those who dare to step into the unknown are rewarded with more than they seek. The journey changes them, transforming ordinary seekers into extraordinary beings.

Your heart knows the way; listen to its whispers. Trust the omens that guide you and the struggles that shape you. Each step, whether painful or joyful, leads you closer to your treasure. And when you find it, you’ll realize that the treasure was not a thing but the alchemist you became.

Laxmi Prasad Devkota – The Poet’s Longing

Oh, to be free, to soar beyond the earthly tether of mundane existence! My heart, like a solitary bird, craves the vast expanse of the unknown skies. The mountains call me with their silent whispers, and the rivers invite me to dance along their sinuous paths. Life is not a mere struggle for survival but a quest for beauty, a journey towards transcendence.

The essence of humanity lies in its dreams, in its eternal yearning to break the chains of mediocrity. I see the farmers toiling under the sun, their sweat a testament to resilience, but where is their joy? I see the scholar hunched over books, but where is the wisdom that liberates?

The true wealth of life is not in riches or power but in the ability to see the divine in a blade of grass, the infinite in a fleeting moment. Let us awaken our dormant spirits, let us live as creators, not mere consumers of life. For what is man if not a child of the cosmos, destined to shine as brightly as the stars themselves ?
